Carmine Porpora, Vision Homes and Developments Limited, Vision Homes and Developments (Sx.) Limited and Highbeech Properties Limited.This firm has represented Carmine Porpora in a personal capacity for over 20 years and, for varying periods, a number of companies of which he is a director, including Vision Homes and Developments Limited, Visions Homes and Developments (Sx.) Limited, and, more recently, Highbeech Properties Limited.
We have acted for him and the companies on many projects with successful outcomes, including site acquisitions, plot sales set-ups, plot sales and rights and easements. We have found him to approach transactions generally with a refreshing even-handedness and commercial practicality.

Personally, I have known Carmine (Pop) and Barry for almost 10 years. Over the last 30 months or so, we have started working together professionally. With instructions from our homeowners, we have already achieved planning successes on underutilised parcels of land in the local area. Our maiden project is due to break ground in Burgess Hill in the next couple of months, with another one just outside Bexhill-on-Sea following shortly afterwards.

Whether acting directly as the Client/Developer or acting as for a client/end user, we have found Carmine to be professional, considerate, precise, tenacious and experienced. He brings a high degree of practicality and balance to any situation and creates a positive and relaxed environment for all parties involved to thrive.
Development and construction can often be an uncomfortable environment for clients to be involved in and we have found that Carmine invariably creates high levels of trust and professionalism.

Now that our family have moved into their own houses we realised that we have plenty of space and in particular garden that wasn’t being used.
We were put in contact/approached by Carmine Popora, Director of HighBeech who suggested that the unused part of our garden (approx 0.6 acres) would make an ideal area for a new build. Carmine and later Barry, his business partner, talked us through all the possibilities that we had. We found that they were very discreet, sympathetic, approachable, knowledgeable and above all, not in any way pushy, making sure that all our questions and concerns were considered and dealt with.
When we were ready to, after some 16/18 months of deliberation and questioning their company held our hand through the process. They have very good contacts at all stages starting with the architects who working closely with the local Authorities ensured an early decision and acceptance of plans to build a beautiful 5 bedroom house sympathetically positioned resulting in the minimum of impact on our home.
The very personal input by both Carmine(Pop) and Barry has been very much appreciated by both my wife and myself and we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them and their company to anyone who was in our position that had some excess garden/land and didn’t know what to do.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their quality services.

Pop organised it very well and recruited competent and professional craftsmen to carry out the work. Consequently the whole project was completed to a high standard with no hassle or arguments.
Unusual with the building trade! Pop is honest, easy to work with, reliable, conscientious and most of all he cares about the client and whether he is happy with the standard of work.

- we were concerned about the quantity of accommodation. Barry and Highbeech proposed an internal modification which transformed the way the reception room worked and they delivered the modification at their own expense, to a high standard and in a very tight timescale. They have also introduced us to, and are working with, an architect to add outbuildings and a porch;
- the sale of our previous property proved protracted but, having accepted our asking price offer, Barry and Highbeech stayed the course, neither voicing complaint nor adding pressure;
- there have been inevitable teething problems (in the main these were technology issues!) with the new property. Barry and Highbeech have addressed them all, big or small, with speed, commitment and unfailing good humour, always working to a quality not a cost.
I would happily buy another house built by Barry and Highbeech Properties or commission them to build one for me.

Bev W. & Tracy D. - Noel Rise, Wivesfield, nr. Burgess Hill, West Sussex
The property was a two bedroom semi detached bungalow with a quite large irregular shaped garden that we felt might be capable of fitting a small bungalow in the grounds.
We made some outline drawings and put on the market for sale, subject to planning permission, as we did not have the time or funds to pursue the planning application.
By chance, the bungalow next door had already built a bungalow in their grounds and we discussed the prospect of us doing the same thing with their developers.
At this stage the idea was floated to sell direct to the developer (Highbeech Properties Ltd.) who would incur the cost of the planning and we would also avoid estate agents fees and what could end up being a complex buyers chain.
We liked the people involved who seemed very genuine and decided to go down this route.
The initial planning application was turned down, but we were able to sell the property with what is termed an ‘Overage’, which is an additional payment if and when any planning permission was granted.
To cut a long story short, Highbeech Properties Ltd kept to their word and followed up the planning application with a professional and well prepared appeal which took over six months to get a decision, which we were pleased to say was approved and the Overage payment was settled immediately.
Highbeech Properties Ltd kept us informed during the planning appeal process and also during the sale process which, both parties felt was more complex between the two legal teams than the sale warranted.
In all, what could have been a difficult and complex sale with many potential pitfalls was seen through by both parties due to establishing good relations and keeping each other informed of activity.
We found Highbeech Properties Ltd trustworthy and they kept their word on actions and we would certainly recommend them for future projects.

We moved into the above house on 31 October 2018 finally, after a few months of the usual search and conveyancing problems that are apt to incur with a new property. During this time we were able to arrange several visits to the house with Mr Pigrim, who was always very helpful, patient and accommodating.
The house is exceptionally well built with a high standard of fixtures, fittings and an amazing brick fireplace. The changes we requested and the few snagging details required have and are being dealt with efficiently by Barry Pigrim.
All in all we love the house and have settled in very comfortably.
We are happy with the service received from Highbeech Properties.
